Get Started
Getting started is easy if you're already using TrueDot. Choose your AI client below and follow its setup steps. The first time your client connects, it opens a browser window to sign in. Log in using the email and password you use for TrueDot Studio.
Add the server from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http {{name}} {{url}}Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick {{name}}, and choose
Authenticate.
For claude.ai and Claude Desktop:
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it
TrueDot Connectand paste the URL:{{url}} - Choose Connect and sign in.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds the connector for the organization first.
Add the server, then sign in:
codex mcp add {{name}} --url {{url}}
codex mcp login {{name}}On older Codex versions, set experimental_use_rmcp_client = true in
~/.codex/config.toml first.
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then enable the server under Settings → MCP
and choose Login.

"{{name}}": {
"url": "{{url}}"
}
}
}Use GitHub Copilot in VS Code:
- Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server.
- Choose HTTP, enter
{{url}}, and name the server{{name}}. - Choose where to save the configuration, start the server, and complete the TrueDot sign-in when prompted.
- Open Copilot Chat in Agent mode and enable the TrueDot tools in the tools picker.
Alternatively, add this configuration to .vscode/mcp.json in your project:
{
"servers": {
"{{name}}": {
"type": "http",
"url": "{{url}}"
}
}
}Connect through Microsoft Copilot Studio using your organization's agent-building access.
- Open your agent and go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
- Enter TrueDot Connect as the server name, describe the research tasks it supports,
and use this server URL:
{{url}} - Choose OAuth 2.0 authentication, then Dynamic discovery.
- Select Create, then Next. Create a connection, complete the TrueDot sign-in when prompted, and select Add to agent.
- Test the agent before sharing it. For Microsoft 365 Copilot, publish the agent and configure its Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot channel.
This setup is for Copilot Studio agents. Your organization's connector policies may require administrator approval. TrueDot sign-in through Copilot Studio has not yet been verified.
Microsoft's guides: Connect an MCP server and publish to Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Transport: Streamable HTTP. URL:
{{url}} - Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. The client discovers everything from a
401on the URL, or from{{origin}}/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp. - The client must be able to open a browser for sign-in.
